What Is a Community Challenge?
A Community Challenge runs for a set period of time, with everyone starting and progressing together. This shared experience helps boost motivation and accountability.
Note: You cannot unlock days ahead of schedule.
What Is a Solo Challenge?
A Solo Challenge can be started anytime and completed at your own pace within a set timeframe.
How Long Do Challenges Last? Can I Go at My Own Pace?
Most challenges run between 7 and 30 days. While daily participation is encouraged, you can go at your own pace. Just keep in mind:
- Missing a day without a Streak Saver will reset your streak.
What Skills Do the Challenges Focus On?
Challenges are designed to strengthen your core musical skills, including:
- Technique
- Accuracy
- Coordination
- Timing
- Endurance
- Musical expression
They also build consistency, confidence, and motivation through a structured learning path.
What If I Miss a Day? Can I Catch Up or Restart?
Yes! You have two options:
- Use a Streak Saver to keep your streak intact.
- Restart the challenge from the beginning at any time.
If you miss a day and don't use a Streak Saver, your streak resets to zero.
What Are Streak Savers and How Do They Work?
Streak Savers (formerly Rest Days) are buffer days that protect your streak if you miss a lesson. Simply:
- Use a Streak Saver to cover the missed day.
- Complete at least one lesson the next day to continue your streak.
Do I Have to Complete All Missed Lessons to Maintain My Streak?
No. With the updated system, you only need to complete one lesson per day after using a Streak Saver to keep your streak going.
Completing extra missed lessons will still add to your streak.
What Happens If I Miss a Day and Don’t Have a Streak Saver?
If no Streak Saver is available:
- Your streak resets to zero.
- You'll need to complete a new lesson to start a fresh streak.
How Can I Earn More Streak Savers?
Earn extra Streak Savers by completing milestone lessons within a challenge. These are clearly marked so you can track your progress.
Can I Use Streak Savers for Another Challenge?
No. Streak Savers are specific to the challenge where they were earned.
If you restart a challenge, any unused Streak Savers will reset.
Can I Share My Progress or Get Feedback from the Community?
Absolutely! Many challenges encourage community participation. Check the challenge details for:
- A forum thread
- Group chat
- Hashtag for sharing
Will Past Challenges Be Available Later?
Some challenges remain open after they finish, while others are time-limited. Check the challenge details to see availability.
Can I Unlock All the Lessons at Once?
Yes! If you'd prefer to skip the streak system:
- Click “Unlock All Lessons” on the challenge enrollment page.
Will This Update Affect My Existing Challenge Streak?
We’ve done our best to preserve all streaks. In rare cases, you may see:
- A slight increase in your streak count
- Extra Streak Savers added
Your progress will not be negatively affected.
